Pink Out Day 2

Each October, breast cancer awareness month aims to shed the spotlight on a devastating disease that has affected many women and families. In fact, about 1 in 8 women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. At MDI Group and The Ella Marie Foundation, we are proud to have supported various breast cancer awareness events and organizations in the past. And as the nation comes together this month to support the quest for a cure, we were especially excited to come together and host the 3rd Annual Pink Out Day on Friday, October 23.

In the spirit of October, team members from across the country wore their finest pink outfits and flexed some creative muscles, decorating offices in support of the cause and entering the pumpkin carving contest.

From minions to Grumpy Cat to Star Wars, there was no shortage of character during Pink Out Day. We also saw quite a few pink pumpkins in the spirit of the day.

Getting in the spirit

Not only did members of MDI Group and The Ella Marie Foundation teams get in the spirit of the season — most definitely embodying the spirit of a “pink out” while adding some holiday spirit to the offices — but they showed incredible generosity.

In fact, MDI Group and The Ella Marie Foundation came together to raise $1,500 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation!

A big congratulations must be given to the MDI Group Phoenix branch, who led the way with a $475 donation – great job, team! But we are extremely proud of everyone for coming together to support such a critically important cause on this 3rd Pink Out Day.
